River Make Over
We even had our sink fixed by Dr. Dick Beaver!
The River was closed the last week in June and reopened with a whole new look. Virginia Bradley donated our new couch and Betsy Beaver performed her magic with a one-of-a-kind slipcover. Beautiful!
The floors were buffed and cleaned and look brand spankin new!
Check out our new chair pad covers designed and sewn by Betsy Beaver. Looking at them makes me smile!

NEW MACHINES AT THE RIVER!!! THE BLESSING IS HERE!
The River was blessed by a generous donor with funding to purchase new washers and dryers to replace the original machines that had been in use since our opening day on October 4, 2004. The original eight machines washed just under 16,000 loads of laundry in six years. With the help of Sears and Jim Thomas, Sears Appliance Salesman Extraordinaire, we now are the proud parents of 8 Whirlpool sensory and energy star washers and dryers. They are amazing and the women of The River are tickled pink!!!! Thanks so much to our laundry angel in Kentucky! Take a look at the pictures and please stop by our FIRST FRIDAY OPEN HOUSE on November 5, 2010 from 6-8 pm (live music with The Scapes, Art for sale, face painting, River tours, hot cider and fellowship) to check out the new machines!
